• Planning permission for nine telegraph poles in Peel will be the subject of five questions in the House of Keys next week. • When MHKs gather, Glenfaba and Peel MHK Kate Lord-Brennan will raise the subject with Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Clare Barber. • She wants to know about the planning process which allowed Manx Telecom to put up the poles in Belle Vue Park and Cronk Rearyt.

• A fundraising calendar's looking for your photos of Ramsey's most famous cat! • Thomas the Ramsey Cat is well know for popping into shops and businesses around the town centre, and was even given the freedom of the town in 2024. • But after a health scare, the Copycat shop on Parliament Street began raising funds for his vet bills by producing an annual calendar using pictures taken by his fans.
• Can you help feed a crowd of hungry ducklings? • The Manx SPCA took to Facebook earlier saying it’s looking after almost 30 tiny young ducks and a gosling at its Foxdale headquarters. • And it adds with so many mouths to feed, it needs a lot of crumbs and pellets to make sure they don’t go hungry!
• Planners will consider proposals to turn part of a huge site in Ramsey into a car showroom next week. • The planning committee is due to sit on Monday, June 8 - and will look at an application to transform part of the former Ramsey Bakery on Station Road. • Car company Motor X, based in the town, wants to turn two units into sales space.

• He assaulted an officer after refusing the leave the property. • Lucas Wood, of Primrose Avenue, will be sentenced on June 18 after a probation report has been prepared. • Magistrates heard that police were called to a flat in Ramsey on April 28, after a report of a disturbance.
